Abstract
Transparent inorganic/organic polymer nanocomposite films reinforced with layered silicate nanofillers (clay) were successfully fabricated via an environment benign-gamma radiation curing process. The Polymer clay nanocomposite (PCN) films were analyzed by different techniques including SEM, TEM, XRD, DSC, TGA and in situ high temperature SAXS. Radiation cured PCN films were found to show good flame retardant property.
