Abstract
- Resin blend technique is a simple and useful method for improving paint properties.
- This paper describes an example of an asphalt cement blended with a polyesteramide resin.
- Asphalt cements are extensively used in the coatings industry, whereas polyesteramide resins are usually used as industrial coatings for metal surfaces.
- Asphalt cement is a material commonly used in coating applications due to its good adhesion properties and relatively low cost.
- PEA resin content produces high-quality anti-corrosive material and thus the blending of the two materials combines the advantageous properties of the PEA and the asphalt cement.
