Abstract
⺠Surface functionalization of solids is made with 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane. ⺠Detection of surface bonded epoxy groups is achieved by solid state NMR and XPS. ⺠The Preussmann-test enables a fast and certain evidence of epoxy groups. ⺠For the Preussmann-test 4-(4-nitrobenzyl)pyridine is used. ⺠Surface bonds epoxy groups are indicated by a blue coloration of the material.
