Abstract
⺠Interpenetrating polymers were prepared, characterized and tested for corrosion and thermal properties. ⺠IR, NMR and SEM studies confirm the presence of epoxy-silicone-polythiophene within the interpenetrating polymers. ⺠The IPNs withstood beyond 270 °C with good adhesion which believably higher than conventional organic coatings. ⺠EIS studies showed that IPN coatings with lower silicone content exhibit excellent corrosion resistance.
