Abstract
⺠We prepared a series of phosphorous-containing polyimide coatings. ⺠The effects of the meta-substituted phenylphosphine oxide (PPO) groups on the properties of the synthesized polymers were studied. ⺠The results indicated that the PPO substituents endowed the polyimides good atomic oxygen resistance. ⺠The solubility of the polymers in organic solvents and the optical transparency were enhanced at the same time.
