Abstract
⺠Calcined kaolins were investigated as anticorrosive pigment for protective coatings. ⺠Model epoxy paints were formulated with the increasing content of kaolins. ⺠Paints were exposed to laboratory corrosion tests in the environments of neutral salt mist and of condensed humidity. ⺠Mechanical resistance of coatings based on epoxy resin was found. ⺠Optimum concentration of the individual types of kaolins to be used in epoxy resin was identified.
