Controlling across complex networks – Emerging links between networks and control

This paper discusses the interplay between networks and control systems. As we gain more understanding about the structure and dynamics of physical networks, their effects on the performance of closed-loop control systems, as well as the ability to control such networks, provide fertile areas of research. The paper reviews such research with special emphasis on the connectivity and delays in the information transfer across networks.
