Abstract
In this note, a conditioned transfer technique for switching control is introduced. A controller state-reinitialization procedure is described which minimizes a performance-oriented quadratic cost. With the optimization routine performed off-line, the resulting multi-controller realization has a low computational load. The proposed technique allows the designer to trade off performance versus memory, even when the process to be controlled is described via a continuous distribution of models.
