Abstract
⺠We used the public 100-car and 8-truck naturalistic data and the NatWare software. ⺠Response time was computed for 493 near-crashes events. ⺠Eyes-off-road and distraction delayed response times by 29% and 16%. ⺠Response times also depended on the incident and evasive maneuver type. ⺠Truck drivers responded faster that than car drivers.
