Abstract
⺠We examined fatal and nonfatal crashes involving civilian and emergency vehicles. ⺠Civilian drivers may have difficulties in visually detecting emergency vehicles. ⺠Identify factors related to civilian drivers' failure to notice emergency vehicles.
