Abstract
⺠This validation study compared simulated and real driving after ethanol intake. ⺠20 subjects underwent three 1 h trips each in a simulator and on a test track. ⺠Blood alcohol concentration and car weaving (SDLP) were significantly correlated. ⺠SDLP values were higher and showed greater variance in the simulator. ⺠The simulator is a sensitive and valid tool to detect ethanol impaired driving.
