Abstract
⺠Several factors suggest morning driving may be associated with excessive sleepiness. ⺠The prevalence of chronic sleepiness during a long-distance morning trip was 18.3%. ⺠Night-workers had a greater proportion of acute sleepiness and less sleep. ⺠Night-workers drove longer distances and worked longer hours.
