Abstract
⺠We examined the effects of a traffic stream on gap selection according to pedestrian age. ⺠Younger and older pedestrians accepted a smaller time gap when they chose the second interval. ⺠This traffic-related behavior was not accompanied by an increase in the decisions risk. ⺠Traffic stream might then help to perceive action possibilities more accurately.
