Abstract
► The study measured the amount of sleepiness risk factors in diurnal car accidents. ► 253 drivers involved in diurnal accidents were interviewed next the accident. ► 12.3% of the drivers reported at least one of the sleepiness risk factors. ► Sleepiness risk factors were more evident in specific diurnal car accidents.
