Abstract
⺠Factors related with the risk of crashes involving cyclists have been explored. ⺠Age, sex, drug use and non-helmet use were cyclist variables related with the risk. ⺠Aging and alcohol use of the other driver were also related with the risk. ⺠Bicycles with brake defects and ridden by two occupants were at higher risk.
