Abstract
⺠We compared performance on a static and dynamic hazard perception test in a group of young drivers. ⺠Static and dynamic formats produced weakly correlated composite scores, despite good reliability. ⺠Both formats predicted self-reported driving behavior, but not collisions or traffic violations. ⺠These findings have implications for a theory of hazard perception, training and evaluation of driving safety.
