Abstract
⺠Accident risk models are developed using Bayesian Probabilistic Networks. ⺠The accident risk models can be adapted and updated to new available data. ⺠A case study was performed considering the entire Austrian rural motorway network. ⺠Good compliance was found between model predictions and real observations. ⺠Methodology has relevance for decision making and planning of roads.
