Abstract
⺠We examined the effect of low dose alcohol on simulated motorcycle riding. ⺠Motorcycle riding simulator performance is impaired at 0.05% BAC. ⺠Response time to an unexpected pedestrian is impaired at 0.02% BAC. ⺠Some evidence that legal BAC limit for motorcyclists should be below 0.05%. ⺠Some evidence for a greater vulnerability of novice compared to experienced riders to low-dose BAC.
