Abstract
⺠Estimates the rate of licence surrender by older male and female drivers. ⺠Estimates licence holding and car driver fatalities by age to 2030. ⺠Car driver fatality rate is reducing fastest for the oldest drivers. ⺠Car drivers have the lowest injury accident rate per driver at age 70-79. ⺠Fragility causes most of the increase in fatality rate with age.
