Abstract
⺠Safety climate had causal effect on safety behaviour. ⺠Safety behaviour may, in turn, influence safety climate. ⺠Psychosocial conditions and safety climate may have common antecedents. ⺠Safety climate influenced behaviour mainly via the individual's perceptual process. ⺠Safety climate should be analysed both at the unit and at the individual level.
