Abstract
The development of a simplified parallel-damped passivity-based controller for the dc–dc boost converter is presented. The controller design involves choosing an appropriate structure to satisfy the stability condition which leads to a simplified structure as compared to the full-blown parallel-damped passivity-based controller. Tuning guidelines to achieve a desired output response are proposed. Simulation results are also given to illustrate the features of the feedback control strategy.
