Abstract
												- We review typical plasmonic nanoparticles and main analytical methods used for characterization.
- Possible consequences of nanoparticle incubation in physiological fluids are discussed.
- We focus on light scattering, microscopy, spectroscopy methods and introduce also novel methods.
- We present a large variety of physiological fluids: mucus, blood, lymph fluid and culture media.
