Abstract
- A series of antimicrobial films based on cellulose-derived hydrocolloids was prepared.
- β-Cyclodextrin successfully enhanced antimicrobial Propionic acid's content in films.
- β-Cyclodextrin prolonged Propionic acid's release rate.
- The films' mechanical, morphological and antimicrobial properties were evaluated.
- β-CD and PA demonstrated a synergetic effect and result qualitative bio-active films.
