Abstract
- Gene carriers with two types of degradable bonds (ester and SS) has been studied.
- The pH plays a crucial role in both the DNA complexation and release processes.
- At physiological pH, the ester bond hydrolysis is predominant.
- Working at acid pH is recommendable for the synthesis and storage of these polyplexes.
