Abstract
- BDE-209 was removed from wastewater by anaerobic granules via biosorption process.
- The sorption was related to solution pH, ionic content, sludge dose and temperature.
- The pseudo second-order kinetic model was ideal to describe the biosorption kinetics.
- BDE-209 sorption was nonspontaneous chemisorption and followed an endothermic path.
- Chemical functional groups on granules would be the active binding sites for BDE-209.
