Abstract
- Silica-E. coli micro-granules were synthesized by spray drying.
- Cells were removed by incineration in order to imprint shape matched macro-pores.
- Optimized incineration condition was established using SANS and TGA.
- Optimized incineration temperature was found to be around 500 °C.
- Meso-pore network collapses beyond 600 °C by coalescence of silica particles.
