Abstract
- Release through liposomal surface pores depends on the pore surface area, pore size and distribution.
- Release through pores that cover only a fraction of the surface area can approach the rate of fully ruptured systems.
- At fixed pore surface coverage, the release rate decreases with increasing pore size in the limit of low coverage, but not at relatively high pore surface area.
- At fixed pore surface coverage and pore size, the distribution of pores affects the release in the limit of high surface coverage, but not at low pore densities.
