Abstract
- Using genipin cross-linked chitosan membrane (GCM) as scaffolds for keratocyte proliferation.
- The cross-linking effect enhanced the mechanical strength, anti-biodegradability of chitosan membrane.
- Genipin did not affect the cornea epithelial cell viability, nor did it change the cell morphology.
- GCM has the potential as cornea epithelium scaffold in ocular surface surgery with better mechanical properties.
