Abstract
- A photo responsive liposomal system for controlled release is proposed and synthesized.
- With Calcein as a model drug, we evaluate the encapsulation efficiency and the release kinetic profile upon heat/light stimulation.
- We further characterized their size, morphology, phase transition temperature and stability.
- The mechanism behind the photo-triggered release relies on liposome membrane disruption by microbubble cavitation upon laser treatment.
