Abstract
- We analyzed the effects of silica particles on wetting velocity at gel surfaces.
- We found that the contact angle of colloidal dispersions followed the power law.
- The wetting was inhibited by the addition of a suitable amount of silica particles.
- The inhibition was caused by slight increase in the local viscosity.
