Abstract
- Novel insulin-coated nanoparticles (ICNP) with high insulin loading are described.
- These ICNP were successfully incorporated into polymeric films as a potential platform for peptide buccal delivery.
- Permeation studies conducted on a human buccal mucosa model indicate that the presence ICNP in films allow for rapid permeation through the buccal epithelium.
