Abstract
- A novel titanate nanotube coating is introduced for biosensing and biomedical applications.
- Surface coating does not interfere with optical waveguiding.
- The coating process was carried out at room temperature by spin-coating the titanate sols.
- The nanostructured layer enhances protein adsorption and cell adhesion (human embryonic kidney and preosteoblast).
