Abstract
The synthetic cationic amphiphilic peptide WLBU2 binds to and causes aggregation of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (endotoxin) vesicles, while polymyxin B does not. WLBU2 might thus be used to bind circulating endotoxin and pathogens for treatment of sepsis.
