Abstract
- Oil bodies (oleosomes) were recovered from Echium plantagineum and characterised.
- Their surface phospholipids contain a high proportion of saturated acyl groups.
- The isoelectric point of these organelles are between pH 4 and 5.
- Washing these organelles alters their dispersion stability.
