Abstract
- Developed Amphotericin B Topical Microemulsion for the treatment of invasive fungal infections.
- Formulations were evaluated for Ex-vivo skin permeation, skin sensitivity and skin retention.
- Formulations were evaluated for antifungal activity in Trichophyton rubrum.
- Optimized microemulsion has provided relatively better antifungal activity, high skin deposition, cutaneous drug penetration and distribution of the Amp B and low skin irritation.
