Abstract
- Single wall carbon nanohorns (SWNHs) exhibit excellent properties as an adsorbent.
- Bilirubin molecules are efficiently adsorbed to oxidized SWNHs.
- Nanoholes are introduced on the SWNH walls by the oxidation treatment.
- A high bilirubin adsorption selectivity to albumin is obtained by this process.
- These features can be used in an environment similar to human blood.
