Abstract
- Uniform-sized PLGA microspheres with large size (around 20 μm) were prepared by SPG premix membrane emulsion technique, which has not been reported.
- The in vitro release of exenatide-loaded PLGA microspheres prepared by this technique was improved by optimization of process parameters.
- Bio-stability of exenatide inside microspheres was not influenced by the preparation process.
- This technique was extended to prepare microspheres with size range from hundreds of nanometers to tens of microns.
