Abstract
- Bergamot essential oil (BEO) has previously demonstrated anticancer activity.
- The use of BEO in cancer therapy is limited due to low water solubility and poor bioavailability.
- BEO and its derivatives have been encapsulated in liposomes.
- The use of liposomes improves the water solubility of BEO and increases the anticancer efficacy against human SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells.
