Abstract
- γ-Al2O3 had a higher adhesion capacity for E. coli than α-Fe2O3 due to its higher positive charge.
- The electrostatic force has an important role in the adhesion of E. coli to Fe/Al oxides.
- E. coli adhesion decreased point of zero salt effect and isoelectric point for the Fe/Al oxides.
