Abstract
⺠Perfluorocarbon emulsions were formed by sonication and stabilized with DPPC. ⺠Emulsion size could be reduced to 50 nm or 100 nm by extrusion through a filter. ⺠Emulsion droplets were encapsulated in liposomes by the refolding of lipid sheets. ⺠The size of the resulting eLiposomes could also be controlled by extrusion.
