Abstract
A typical weakly bound hybrid organic-inorganic aggregate composed of two europium cations, nitrates, water and around twelve hydrocarbon chains. The aggregate is efficient for liquid-liquid selective extraction. The solvent is mixed, and the aggregate is represented by blurring the localization of CH2 groups (black) and oxygen atoms (red) of hundreds of snapshots. As can be seen, the core exists but it is diffuse and the interface is not well defined. What weakly bound organic, inorganic and hybrid aggregates have in common is that they do not show any Porod-limit in high resolution scattering experiments (image courtesy Ph. Guilbaud).496
