Abstract
► Friction measurements are correlated to the perception of grip. ► The friction between skin and polymer samples is measured using a haptic test device. ► The limits of transferability of the friction coefficient on perception are shown. ► Topography, hardness, skin moisture and age have effects on grippiness perception.
