Abstract
⺠Steady-state contact mechanics and EHL and transient EHL of CoM THRs were analyzed. ⺠Pressures of CoM THRs showed typical characteristics of hard-on-hard hip bearings. ⺠Head radius and radial clearance are important parameters for CoM THRs. ⺠Film thickness of CoM THR was thicker than CoC bearing, but thinner than MoM THR. ⺠CoC and CoM THRs are more likely to benefit full film lubrication than MoM THR
