Abstract
⺠Finger and palm friction against pimpled rugby ball surfaces has been assessed. ⺠Dense pimple pattern gives the best friction values in dry conditions at low load. ⺠Less dense pimples as effective at higher loads in the dry. ⺠Less dense pimple patterns perform better in the wet and muddy conditions.
