Abstract
⺠Effect of 1 to 3 wt% RE additions on hot hardness behavior of AZ91 was studied. ⺠Tribological behavior of AZ91+(1 to 3)wt% RE was studied at elevated temperatures. ⺠AZ91+3 wt%RE showed the highest wear resistance at 150 and 200 °C. ⺠Grain growth was the main reason for low wear resistance of the alloys at 300 °C.
