Abstract
⺠Easy-to-prepare Pd NPs provide outstanding anti-wear and load-bearing capabilities. ⺠Complete study of different tribological parameters controlling the Pd NPs behavior. ⺠Pd NP contents of 2-4 wt% maintain friction <0.1 reducing counterface wear rates. ⺠Pd NPs dropped onto the contact work as a solid lubricant in reciprocating motion. ⺠A Pd tribolayer in the contact enables a low electrical resistance during motion.
