Abstract
⺠Stick-slip is analyzed by changing contact area and stiffness of friction material. ⺠Stick-slip is pronounced at low speed and at high loading condition. ⺠Contact stiffness plays a crucial role in stick-slip propensity. ⺠Topography of friction material surface affects stick-slip propensity.
