Abstract
► Unique liquid erosion experiments on polymer matrix composites reinforced with carbon nanotubes. ► Acoustic impedance measurements and microhardness testing on nanoreinforced composites. ► The candidate materials exhibit nominally similar damage threshold velocities. ► The employed CNT dispersion level does not appear to result in significantly higher DTVs. ► Based on obtained DTVs the aerospace applications of the candidate materials are confined to UAVs.
