Abstract
► Shortcomings have been identified in existing computational wear models. ► A new wear-prediction algorithm is presented to overcome these limitations. ► New model is scale-sensitive and casuality-compliant. ► Able to predict wear results of recent pin-on-disc experiments. ► Good predictive power (R2 ∼ 0.65) for large cohort of implant wear simulations.
