Abstract
⺠Multi-component white cast iron was applied by HVOF as hardfacing. ⺠Effects of pre-heating and heat treatment of coating on mass loss were determined. ⺠Influence of heat treatment of coating on wear mechanisms was also determined by SEM. ⺠Heat-treated coatings presented mass loss three times lower than as-sprayed coatings. ⺠Wear mechanisms are micro-cutting associated with cracks close to unmelted particles.
